Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a mixed experience for me. The rooms felt old and made it hard to sleep comfortably due to the heat, but the staff were excellent and very friendly. The location was okay, with some highlights like being great for hikers, but the facilities were lacking in some areas like a better dining selection.
When I stayed at this hotel, the rooms were very clean and roomy, but unfortunately, they had a strong awful smell. The cleanliness was an issue as we found cockroaches in the room and even urine and poop in the toilet right when we arrived. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and recommended some great places for us to eat. The location was convenient, being perfectly situated between hiking spots and downtown areas. However, it was very poorly lit and stinky dirty. The dining experience was good overall. Despite these drawbacks, I did enjoy the hot breakfast made to order. In terms of facilities, they were average.
The hotel is conveniently located, only a five-minute drive by Uber from the State Fair and close to shopping centers and the Jerry Cline Tennis Center. The rooms were a bit chilly with the heat running all night, and there was a bit of inconvenience in accessing them after a long day of travel.
I felt like I had my own little apartment with the room branching off the main area through outdoor halls. The stay was relaxing after a full day of traveling, but it was a letdown that the room was supposed to be non-smoking.
